Spring 2012

Since Fall 2011, Uri Rom is Assistant Professor of Music Theory at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel-Aviv University. In March, he premiered his arrangement of Bach's 3rd Viola da Gamba Sonata at the Discovery concert series at the School of Music (for a recording click here). In April-June he will present various talks regarding his research topics at Tel-Aviv University.

 

Summer-Fall 2011

After having recently completed his PhD in musicology at Berlin’s Technische Universität, Uri Rom presented papers on his research topics at the 7th European Music Analysis Conference (EUROMAC), the annual meeting of the American Society for Music Theory (SMT) in cooperation with Dr. Saharon Rosset of the Department of Statistics and Opertaions Research, Tel-Aviv University and the annual meeting of the Israel Musicological Society.
